Sometimes, making small changes around the home can be one of the easiest ways to save on energy. At AGL, we’re all for it. In fact, we arrange it for you with home energy assessments*. And if one of our AGL approved assessors can’t come to your house, we’ve got tools here to help you do-it-yourself.
The benefits of a home energy assessment
As part of a home energy assessment, we aim to help you reduce energy consumption, reduce energy bills and reduce your carbon emissions. There are many ways to do this around the home and it’s easier than you might think. Best of all the assessment doesn’t cost you anything.
What happens at a home energy assessment?
Once we organise a suitable time with you, an AGL approved assessor will come to your home to help you identify areas in your house where you could reduce your energy consumption. You’ll be provided with a written report of the assessment including recommendations on lighting, shading, draught proofing, space heating and cooling, and other areas of energy use.
The assessment may also include free replacement of energy efficient light globes*, where applicable.
