Pollution incident response

Our procedures for communicating with the community and contacting relevant authorities when an incident occurs.

The Camden Gas Project holds Environmental Protection Licence (EPL) No 12003 for its operations in the Camden, Wollondilly and Campbelltown local government areas, NSW. Part 5.7A of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 (NSW) and the Protection of the Environment Operations (General) Regulation 2009 (POEO(G)Regulation), requires AGL as holder of an EPL to prepare, keep, test and implement a Pollution Incident Response Management Plan (PIRMP). A PIRMP has been prepared for the project in accordance with the Environmental guidelines: Preparation of pollution incident response management plans (March 2012).

AGL is required to publish its procedures for communicating with the community and contacting relevant authorities when an incident occurs. The Newcastle Gas Storage Facility holds Environmental Protection Licence (EPL) No 20130 for petroleum products and fuel production at Tomago in the Port Stephen local government area, NSW. Part 5.7A of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 (NSW) and the Protection of the Environment Operations (General) Regulation 2009 (POEO(G) Regulation), requires AGL as holder of an EPL to prepare, keep, test and implement a Pollution Incident Response Management Plan (PIRMP). A PIRMP has been prepared for the project in accordance with the Environmental guidelines: Preparation of pollution incident response management plans (May 2012).

Part 5.7A of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 (NSW) and the Protection of the Environment Operations (General) Regulation 2009 (POEO(G)Regulation), requires AGL as holder of an EPL to prepare, keep, test and implement a Pollution Incident Response Management Plan (PIRMP). A PIRMP has been prepared for the Bayswater and Liddell Power Stations in accordance with the Environmental guidelines: Preparation of pollution incident response management plans (March 2012).
