AGL welcomes new energy efficiency offering for Australian manufacturers
AGL Energy Services Pty Limited (AGL Energy Services) has now fully integrated AGL Electroserv, a Sydney-based Power Factor Correction Equipment service, offering business customers predominantly within the manufacturing sector a new tool to improve their energy efficiency.
AGL Electroserv’s Power Factor Correction Equipment offers business a cost saving measure to improve the efficiency of how they draw electricity from the network. This will help consumers reduce their monthly electricity costs, with no interruption to the customer’s manufacturing process or operation of their property.
AGL’s Head of Energy Services, Marc Barrington, believes AGL Electroserv is an exciting new offering to AGL’s Energy Services range of energy productivity solutions for the commercial and industrial sector.

AGL Energy Services has been assisting business customers reduce energy costs by implementing energy productivity solutions such as the identification and delivery of energy efficiency projects like lighting and HVAC upgrades, embedded cogeneration, the supply, installation and maintenance of hot water and steam boilers and the fuel switching of natural gas as a transport fuel.
In March 2012, AGL Energy Services commissioned its 21 MW cogeneration plant at Qenos in Altona, Melbourne, for which it jointly received with Qenos the Australian Energy Efficiency Council’s award for “Best CoGeneration Project”. And in 2013 received The Australian Climate Alliance’s award for “Innovator of the Year” for AGL Energy Services’ work, developing solutions that assist customers improve energy efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint.
