AGL has today announced it is extending its partnership with West Coast Eagles Football Club, continuing as the club’s official energy partner until the end of the 2022 AFL season, extending AGL’s support of the club that began in 2017.

AGL General Manager for Commercial and Industrial Customers, Ryan Warburton, said AGL is proud to continue its long-standing partnership with West Coast Eagles.

“West Coast Eagles is a club with great values, history and ties to the West Australian community,” Mr Warburton said.

“The new two-year deal includes sponsorship of the players’ shorts, which will carry the AGL logo, as well as signage at Optus Stadium at West Coast Eagles home games.

“During our time with West Coast Eagles, we have been honoured to contribute to several of the club’s key community initiatives such as our work with Foodbank WA and the AGL Metres for Meals program, supported by our player ambassador Andrew Gaff.

“We are also excited about the opportunity to be in a position to support the West Coast Eagles’ business network with commercial and industrial gas and electricity.

“We look forward to sponsoring the club again this year as well as connecting with fans and members throughout the season.”

West Coast Eagles CEO, Trevor Nisbett said the club was pleased to be signing on with AGL for a further two years.

“We are delighted that AGL is continuing for another two years,” West Coast Eagles Chief Executive Officer Trevor Nisbett said.

“We appreciate the ongoing loyalty of AGL, who is an integral and important part of the West Coast Eagles family.”

AGL began its sponsorship of West Coast Eagles, in parallel with its launch in WA’s retail gas market in 2017 and further expansion in 2019 with the acquisition of Perth Energy.
