AGL powers St Kilda Football Club’s solar future
Helping our valued partners at St Kilda Football Club create more sustainable facilities.
Helping our valued partners at St Kilda Football Club create more sustainable facilities.
AGL has been the proud energy partner of St Kilda Football Club for the past four years. We support both their AFL and AFLW teams as well as being the co-naming rights partner of their STK Business Networking Program. In 2024, we extended our support and helped the club on their sustainability journey with a 300 kW solar system installation across their RSEA Park training facility and the Danny Frawley Centre.
St Kilda Football Club wanted more environmentally friendly and sustainable facilities for the club and community to enjoy. To achieve this we installed a 199.76 kW solar system of 454 solar panels at RSEA Park and a 99.944 kW system of 226 solar panels at the Danny Frawley Centre.
"Partnerships such as the one with AGL not only positively impact football programs but the community as well."
- St Kilda Chief Executive Officer Carl Dilena
Our skilled team was able to tackle and manage the challenges of limited roof space, a tilted roof and consolidation of the new solar system with an existing one. With careful attention and the support and collaboration of the Club, we ended up with a well-planned, straightforward and timely result.
The 300 kW solar system will result in a reduction in carbon emissions for both facilities: a 25% reduction each year equivalent to 213.7 tonnes of CO2 for RSEA Park, and a 22% reduction each year equivalent to 104 tonnes of CO2 for the Danny Frawley Centre.#
The Club’s anticipated reduction in CO2 emissions is equivalent to either:
By helping the club to lower carbon emissions, reduce energy costs and take another step towards sustainability, we’re proud to see our partnership grow from sponsorship include a focus on energy solutions. Together we’re showing how these partnerships can drive positive change both for business and the community.
Whatever your sustainable energy goals, we'll help find the right solar solution for your business.
