AGL has made a submission on the Orderly Exit Management Framework (OEMF). While AGL is committed to leading a responsible and orderly transition towards a low-emissions economy, the submission highlights a number of concerns with the framework. In particular, AGL is concerned there is a significant risk that generators will not be able to recover the costs they incur as a result of being issued a mandatory direction to continue operating after they have reached the end of their technical life.
