Accidents, damage and insurance claims

If you're involved in an accident, first make sure everyone is safe. If anyone is injured or in danger, call 000.

All of our EV subscription plans include comprehensive insurance. If you notice damage to your car (from an accident or something else), follow the instructions for filing an insurance claim.

How to contact roadside assistance

If you run into a problem with your electric vehicle while at home or on the road, you can call 24/7 Roadside Assistance for help on 1800 817 683.

You can always find the roadside assistance number by scanning the QR code in the top right-hand corner of your windscreen. 

Flat tyres

Here’s what to do if you have a flat tyre.

  1. Find a safe spot to pull over, and turn on your hazard lights.

  2. Call 24/7 Roadside Assistance on 1800 817 683.
    To find this number you can always scan the QR code located in the top right-hand corner of your car and follow the prompts.

There is no charge for the Roadside Assistance callout, but there may be a charge if you need a replacement tyre.*

Low tyre-pressure warnings

If you receive a low-pressure warning for one of your tyres, here’s what to do.

  • If it’s close to full pressure, has no damage, and isn’t deflating then it just needs air.
    Drive to the nearest service station to inflate it.

  • If it’s close to full pressure but the number is decreasing, the tyre is probably punctured and needs to be repaired or replaced.
    Find a safe place to pull over and call Roadside Assistance.

  • If the pressure gauge shows a low number or the tyre is visibly flat, the tyre probably needs to be repaired or replaced.

Flat batteries

If your battery runs flat, call 24/7 Roadside Assistance on 1800 817 683 and you'll be towed to your nearest charging station or to your house (whichever is closer). Towing is covered for distances within 100km.*
 

*Additional charges may apply for additional repairs, replacement cars, accommodation, excess towing costs, and anything not considered fair wear and tear (such as punctures).
