Be rewarded for reducing your energy use

There are times when the demand for electricity is so high it can put pressure on the grid. These are known as peak energy events; they’re often caused by very hot or cold weather and when people are using energy the most.

AGL Peak Energy Rewards  gives you the opportunity to opt in to reduce your usage during these events in return for a credit towards your bill.

Discover AGL Virtual Power Plant

A Virtual Power Plant, or VPP for short, is a network of connected solar batteries. These batteries can be coordinated to work together, just like a power plant.

When combined, the energy drawn from each battery can provide a large bank of controllable solar energy. This energy can help stabilise the electricity grid and reduce reliance on coal power.
