Log in and passwords: set up and change

How to log in to My Account and the AGL app and create or change password and login details.

Sign in for the first time

The email address you used to sign up for AGL is the same one you’ll use to log in.

To sign in to My Account or the AGL app for the first time, you can use the link in your welcome email or follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Sign in page, enter your email and select Continue.
  2. Select Forgot Password.
  3. Confirm your email and select Continue. 

Please note:

  • If you have 2FA set up on your mobile, you’ll need to enter a six-digit verification code.
  • There might be a chance we’ll ask you to contact us to verify a few details.

If you’re having trouble signing in for the first time, you might need to register your account.

Register your account

  1. Enter your email address, then select Continue.
  2. Enter the verification code sent to your email or mobile.
  3. Create a password and select Continue.
  4. Enter your AGL account number (you will find this in your welcome email or an AGL bill) then select Continue.
  5. Enter your full name (as it appears on the bill) and date of birth.
  6. Accept terms and conditions to Complete registration.

Log in

Once you’ve set up your password for AGL Online Services, you’ll be able to log in to My Account or the AGL app by following these steps:

  1. Enter your email address and select Continue.
  2. Enter your password and select Continue.

Please note: if you have 2-factor authentication set up, you'll need to enter your 6 digit verification code.

Remember, you need to use your one-time code within 15 minutes, or you’ll have to request a new one.

If you’re having trouble signing in, or your one-time code doesn't work or you didn’t get a one-time code, visit Login problems.

 

Forgot password?

  1. Go to the Sign in page, enter your email and select next.
  2. Select Forgot password.
  3. Confirm your email and select Continue.
  4. Enter your 6-digit code and select Continue.
  5. Enter a new password and select Set password.

Change password

You can update your password in My Account and the AGL app.

  1. Go to Profile.
  2. Select Login details.
  3. Then select Login password and follow the prompts.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by asking you to enter your password plus a unique code before accessing your account.

We may ask you to activate 2FA if you ask for extra security or if we notice something unusual.

One-time verification code

A one-time code is a secure, temporary code we send to an email address or mobile number as added security when you login. It helps us confirm that the person logging into your account is really you.

Never share your code with anyone. This includes anyone who calls, texts or emails you asking for the code.
