Servicing your electric vehicle

Find out how and when to book regular services for your AGL subscription electric vehicle.

About regular services

Regular services are included in your subscription, so you won’t need to pay for them.

To keep things simple, you can book the service yourself at one of our approved service centres. Let us know once you’ve booked it, and we’ll take care of the payment when it’s done.

General maintenance is part of routine servicing – this includes replacing worn out parts like wiper blades and tyres, which are considered ‘wear and tear’.

Damage (such as tyre punctures) is not included in the cost of a routine service, and you may need to pay for repairs or replacement.

When to get a service

Before making a booking, first check how many km your odometer is showing.

  • If your odometer shows less than 15,000km, you don't need to book a service.
The first service (usually after the first 1,000km) is ‘non-essential’. So unless there's something wrong with the vehicle, you can just keep driving.

  • If your odometer shows more than 15,000km or you’ve reached your next service interval (noted in your car’s handbook), it’s time to book a service.

How to book a service

  1. Find a service centre
Scan the QR code on your windscreen, choose Servicing and repairs, and follow the instructions to find a service centre.

  2. Book in for a service
Follow the instructions to book a service, and tell the centre that the booking is for an AGL electric vehicle subscription managed by TFM.

  3. Let us know you’ve booked it and get our approval
Once your car is booked in, email us and let us know. This is crucial, because we need to:

    • reply and give you written authorisation – you cannot have your car serviced without this

    • make sure we have an account set up with your service centre, so you won’t get a bill.

  4. Get the service
When you drop the car off, double check that the centre knows it's an AGL car managed by TFM – this will help make sure they send the bill to us, not you.
