About concessions

You may qualify for various concessions that we can provide on behalf of the NSW State Government. You may also qualify for our additional concession discount.

To receive a concession:

  • you must be a resident of NSW
  • the energy account must be in the name of the concession cardholder
  • the supply address must be the domestic primary place of residence
  • you must be a customer of the retailer, or a long-term resident of an on-supplied residential community, or a resident of an on-supplied retirement village, or a resident of an on-supplied strata scheme.

Eligible concession cards

To be eligible, you'll need one of these concession cards:

  • Pensioner Concession Card issued by Services Australia or Department of Veterans' Affairs
  • Services Australia Health Care Card
  • Department of Veterans' Affairs Gold Card (for recipients of War Widow or War Widower, Totally and Permanently Incapacitated rate or Extreme Disablement Adjustment rate pensions).

Ineligible concession cards

The following cards are ineligible:

  • Child Disability Healthcare cards
  • Foster Care Healthcare cards
  • DVA Dependent and Specific Conditions cards
  • State-based Seniors cards
  • Commonwealth Seniors Health cards.
