Installation types

Standard installation suits most homes with off-street parking and easy switchboard access. It does not cover any groundworks, civil works, switchboard works, underfloor work, work over two storeys or electrical remedial works.1

Your quote will include details and costs of any additional works needed.

All installations include:

  • a dedicated circuit with up to 15 metres of wall or ceiling mounted cable, including conduit
  • all associated electrical containment and hardware fixings
  • installation as per AS/NZS 3000:2018 Electrical Installation Wiring Rules.

Standard installation for solar-optimised chargers may have additional components. Refer to the specific charger’s inclusions for more details.

Single-phase power

Most homes have single-phase power.
 

Included in standard installation

  • Installation of a 7 KW / 32 AMP single-phase EV wall charger (maximum demand/current setting to be determined on site)
  • Single-phase isolation switch mounted and readily accessible to the EV Wall Charger
  • Installation of electrical circuit protection in switchboard

Some chargers require a home with 3-phase power capability. We can quote an upgrade if needed.

  • Installation of a 22KW / 32 AMP 3-phase EV wall charger
  • 3-phase isolation switch mounted and readily accessible to the EV Wall Charger
  • 4 Pole Type A RCBO 30mA

  • Single-phase chargers: installation from $1,099
  • Three-phase chargers: installation from $1,299
