What is the review about?

The Minister for the Environment and Energy, the Hon Josh Frydenberg MP,  asked the Climate Change Authority to conduct a special review of the role of the National Wind Farm Commissioner. The Authority was  asked to consider to what extent the Commissioner is fulfilling its Terms of Reference, the ongoing need for the role, its scope and possible models for funding.

What are AGL's views?

AGL made a submission to the Review, a copy of which is available here.

AGL believes there is an ongoing need for the Commissioner, particularly in the development and construction phase of projects. We also consider that the role could be extended to cover all energy generation projects.
