AGLs 175th Anniversary Regional Roadshow rolls into Gloucester
Gloucester residents can learn about energy efficiency through a unique, fun and free event, thanks to the AGL 175th Anniversary Regional Roadshow, which arrives on Thursday 2 August, for three days of community and local primary school activities. To mark its anniversary, AGL is inviting residents to visit the AGL Energy Cube, a custom built inflatable marquee on Saturday 4 August. Visitors can learn about energy efficiency, AGL’s history and renewable initiatives. The AGL Mascots, Timmy and Tina Turbine will also be on hand to show children how to become energy savers in a fun, interactive performance.
Therese Ryan, Gloucester Community Relations Manager, said Gloucester was chosen as a destination because it is an important region for AGL. With plans in development for the proposed Gloucester Gas Project, AGL expects to have a long association with this community. “As demand for energy continues to grow across NSW, the Gloucester Gas Project will help meet the state’s future energy needs. “AGL is very pleased to be a part of the Gloucester community and hopes that families will enjoy the AGL Energy Cube experience and giveaways,” said Ms Ryan.
As part of the 175 Roadshow, members of the Gloucester Gas Project team will also be on site on Saturday. AGL is Australia’s second oldest publicly listed company and has been supporting Australian communities for 175 years. The 175th Anniversary Regional Roadshow began in New South Wales, and will progressively travel through Queensland, Victoria and South Australia from July to October 2012.
The AGL Energy Cube will be open free to Gloucester residents on Saturday 4 August from 10am – 4pm and will be located at Gloucester District Park, Cnr of Boundary Street & Thunderbolts Way, Gloucester.
