AGL recognised for commitment to stakeholder reporting
AGL Energy Limited (AGL) has been recognised for its commitment to excellence in stakeholder communication and engagement with three awards at the 2015 Australasian Reporting Awards.
AGL’s 2014 Sustainability Report won the Australian Sustainability Reporting Award – Private Sector and the ARA–Hong Kong Sustainability Award for Sustainability Reporting.
The company’s 2014 Annual Report received a Silver Award.
AGL Head of Economics, Policy & Sustainability, Tim Nelson said AGL is committed to delivering comprehensive and transparent information about the company’s business performance.
“AGL was one of the first ASX-listed companies to produce a Sustainabilty Report, and in 2014 we provided our report via an online platform.
“This decision reflected the dynamic and interactive nature of stakeholder engagement and communication today. This digital platform facilitates two-way conversations with people who can ask us questions about our material issues via a range social media channels,” said Mr Nelson.
An innovation in AGL’s 2014 Sustainability Report was the inclusion of an interactive Data Centre that allows readers to access and download five-years of data covering key metrics of AGL’s performance.
