AGL Energy Limited (AGL) today announced the appointment of Doug Jackson to the position of Executive General Manager Group Operations, effective immediately. Doug has been acting in this role since April 2015.

The appointment follows an extensive national and international search and now completes the executive team restructure, announced on 16 April 2015.

Doug joined AGL in 2013 as Chief Operating Officer in the former Merchant Energy division. He has over 35 years’ experience in the power generation industry in North America and Australia. Prior to joining AGL, Doug worked in the United States and Canada as a Vice President with TransAlta and has an extensive career in the power generation industry, leading the operations and construction of electricity generation and mining assets.
