AGL appoints new Chief Information Officer
AGL Energy Limited (AGL) today confirmed the appointment of its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), following the restructure of the company’s Executive Team announced in April this year.
Reporting to Chief Financial Officer Brett Redman, who leads the Finance and Information Technology group, Simon Moorfield will join AGL on 11 January 2016 to take up the CIO position.
Mr Moorfield joins AGL from Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where he was General Manager Products & Process and Acting CIO for the Retail Division. He has global experience, including time spent in Asia and the United States of America, and brings to AGL first-rate business transformation capabilities.
“AGL’s world-class customer and technology platforms will be in very experienced hands and I am confident that Mr Moorfield has the expertise to position AGL successfully in the rapidly changing digital environment,” said Mr Redman.
