AGL secures new Gippsland Basin gas supply agreement
AGL Energy Limited (AGL) today announced it has entered into a new Gas Supply Agreement (GSA) with BHP Billiton Petroleum (Bass Strait) Pty Ltd for 78 petajoules (PJ) of natural gas from the Gippsland Basin, Victoria. The GSA is for a period of 3.25 years, commencing April 2020.
The GSA will support AGL’s continued supply of its New South Wales and Victorian gas customers.
AGL remains committed to securing cost-competitive gas supply for its customers from the domestic market where it is available and new gas supply from international markets through its proposed AGL Gas Import Jetty Project.
