Update payment and card details

Set up Direct Debit for your bills or update payment methods online.

Set up, edit or cancel your Direct Debit

You can have your billing amount automatically deducted from your bank account each billing cycle with Direct Debit.

To set up, edit or cancel Direct Debit in My Account:

  1. Select your name in the top right corner, then select ‘Account Settings’
  2. Under 'Billing and payments', select 'Payment options' then 'Direct Debit' and 'Edit'.

To set up, edit or cancel Direct Debit in the AGL app:

  1. Go to 'Account', then select 'Direct Debit'
  2. Follow the prompts to update your Direct Debit.

Setting up Direct Debit automatically and securely saves your payment method in My Wallet.

Update your payment methods in My Wallet

My Wallet is where your credit card, debit card or bank information is stored securely so you can easily choose between payment methods without having to re-enter your details each time.

To add, update or delete a payment method in My Account:

  1. Select your name in the top right corner, then select ‘Account Settings’
  2. Under 'Billing and payments', select 'Payment methods' then 'Edit'
  3. Your changes will be saved in My Wallet.

To add, update or delete a payment method in the AGL app:

  1. Go to 'Account', then to 'Payment Methods'. This opens the My Wallet screen
  2. Follow the prompts to update your cards.

What happens if you are issued a replacement card?

If you have been issued a replacement card due to your original card being lost, stolen, or having recently expired, you may still be able to make bill payments with your card stored in My Wallet. This is because the details of your card are securely tokenised, and the token remains associated with your underlying account. 

Please note, when you contact your card issuer to replace or reissue your physical card, your scheduled or recurring bill payments may be dishonoured or stopped for a period of time at the discretion of your card issuer. If this happens, you may need to pay your bill via a different method.

When your new card arrives, please immediately update your payment and card details by logging into My Account or the AGL app.
