Our Virtual Assistant can arrange a disconnection of your energy services on your preferred date. Here are the steps:
Log in to My Account or the AGL app and select the chat icon (bottom right in My Account or top right in the app).
Start a chat with us about arranging a disconnection.
Check that your address is correct and choose the services you’d like to disconnect.
Select your preferred disconnection date.
From here, you’ll be taken through the last few questions, then we’ll confirm your disconnection.
Depending on your state, you may have to pay a fee for your final meter read. These fees are charged by the distributor and we'll pass them through to your final bill. You can find more details at Fees and charges.
If you want to disconnect your AGL nbn® service, please contact us.
To make sure you’re not left without an internet connection, make sure you sign up with your new provider before contacting us to arrange a disconnection. . When you are connected with your new provider, you can then contact us to request disconnection.
Please note: Internet services do not disconnect automatically when you join a new provider, so you'll continue to be charged until you ask us to disconnect you.
