On 6 June 2017, the Australian Energy Market Commission published a draft report on its Distribution Market Model project. The report sets out the key characteristics of a potential evolution to a future that enables investment in and operation of distributed energy resources to be optimised to the greatest extent possible, and identifies the barriers to this occurring.
