In November 2017, the New South Wales (NSW) Government released a discussion paper, Protecting Consumers in a Changing Energy World (Discussion Paper).

The Discussion Paper is intended to initiate engagement with stakeholders on whether consumer protection frameworks in NSW are meeting the changing needs of energy customers and to determine whether and what type of regulatory reform may be needed in NSW to support the energy market transformation.
