While innovation can take many shapes and forms, change is always the common element – and it’s usually driven by the desire to improve or adapt in a changing environment.
For Toyota, the introduction of a hybrid electric car in the late ‘90s was in response to increased environmental awareness, and its popularity laid the groundwork for widespread electric vehicle adoption.
For Qantas, innovation meant offering direct-flights from Perth to London – shaving hours off the 24-hour travel time Aussies had become accustomed to (even if we weren’t happy about it!)
For AGL, innovation has remained a constant, and we can trace it back to the beginnings of The Australian Gas Light Company in 1837.
What does innovation mean to us?
From turning on the first gas street lamp in Sydney in 1841 to embracing new technology and contributing to the development of some of the largest renewable generation sites in Australia, we have a strong track record in leading change.
