AGL recently responded to the Australian Energy Market Commission’s (AEMC) draft rule on regulating conditional discounts. We believe that there is currently insufficient evidence to support a decision by the AEMC at this time. However, should the rule change proceed, we believe a regulated cap set by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) is the most appropriate way for this rule to be made.
