AGL recently responded to a consultation paper from the Department of Home Affairs on the reforms to critical infrastructure and systems of national significance as part of National Cyber Security Strategy.
The proposed reforms extend the applicability to new industries including telecommunications and to new hazards including those that affect cybersecurity, physical assets, personnel and supply chain security. The reforms will introduce both high level sets of principles-based outcomes as well as sector-specific guidance, requirements and regulations that will be co-designed by entities and the appropriate regulator in each sector.
