In December 2020 AGL responded to the COAG Energy Council on the proposed legal package used to implement the measures to improve transparency in the gas market as per their decision RIS published in March 2020. The reforms cover a range of areas including gas pricing (both short term and long term), infrastructure, reserves and resources, supply and availability of gas, gas demand and changes to the Gas Statement of Opportunities (GSOO), published by AEMO. The changes proposed increase the bulletin board/GSOO reporting obligations of producers, retailers, LNG import facility operators and LNG export facility operators.
