AGL has responded to the Victorian Government’s Gas Substitution Roadmap Consultation Paper. The Victorian Government is exploring sustainable alternatives and pathways for the gas sector to transition to net zero emissions and is developing a Gas Substitution Roadmap throughout 2021 to provide a strategic framework for decarbonising natural gas in Victoria. In response to the consultation paper AGL provided some considerations for the various alternative pathways listed in the paper and suggested that further detailed discussion is needed once some of the pathways have been identified as preferred options.
