AGL has responded to AEMO’s proposed amendments to the Gas Statement of Opportunity (GSOO) Procedures, endorsing the inclusion of hydrogen, biomethane, and other renewable gases in the national gas regulatory framework. AGL supports the consultation approach for defining ‘material changes’ to reporting information, advocating for a flexible definition to align with varying reporting obligations. AGL also emphasises the importance of maintaining industry forum discussions for changes to survey templates and GSOO timelines to ensure accuracy and minimise regulatory burden.
