Reducing energy bills for The Japanese School of Melbourne

Cutting down power bills with an end-to-end solar solution.

rooftop solar installation at the Japanese school of Melbourne

The Japanese School of Melbourne was on the search to lower energy overheads. They chose AGL, the exclusive partner of Independent Schools Victoria (ISV).

Search for an alternative power source
The Japanese School of Melbourne is a Japanese international school located in Melbourne. The school uses a Japanese curriculum and is tailored to Japanese temporary residents. The school was looking for ways to reduce the energy bills for the school and lower carbon emissions.

Going solarAGL designed and installed a 39kW Solar power system consisting of 86 panels. The power generated by the system is enough to power around 10 average homes in Victoria.1 The expected annual reduction in carbon emissions is equivalent to taking about 14 cars off the road.2

50MWh per year

Clean energy production3

60% per year

Reduced grid energy consumption4

50 tonnes of CO2e per year

Environmental impact5

To avoid disruption to their students, the school requested the installation to be completed during the school holidays. Our project management team worked closely with the school and successfully scheduled and completed the installation within the requested period.
